About Us

The Selmer Utility Division (SUD) was established (with the help of Selmer’s Lions Club) on January 1st, 1934. In the years we have been in operation, our goal has been to provide the best possible utility services for the lowest possible rate. 

Over the years, SUD has provided Natural Gas, Water, and Sewer services to the Selmer area proper. As the population increased in McNairy County, so did the need to have safe drinking water - we met that need gratefully. Today, we proudly serve the Town of Selmer with Natural Gas, Water, & Sewer, plus we supply safe drinking water services to parts of McNairy, Chester, Hardin, Hardeman. We are here for your utility needs. Please don’t hesitate to call or come by our SUD office to talk to one of our friendly customer service representatives.
